CASE District I sponsors several professional development opportunities during the year, including:
District I offers both morning breakfast programs and half-day workshops throughout the year.
Breakfast Series: This signature series features professional development opportunities on timely and relevant advancement topics. The Breakfast Series offers a convenient and affordable opportunity to learn about trends and best practices and network with colleagues from other institutions.
Workshops: Based on feedback from previous programming, CASE DI has implemented a goal to deliver several half-day, subject-intensive workshops throughout the year at different locations within the district.

CASE District I's signature event is its annual conference held in the region, and jointly with the District II annual conference in New York City every few years.
The conference offers a variety of sessions and workshops on alumni relations, development, and communications/marketing. Content is tailored for staff at every level--whether you're a newcomer, a mid-level professional, or a key decision maker/chief advancement officer. Drawing close to 1,000 attendees each year, the conference also offers a host of mentor, networking, and social opportunities.
The District I 2013 Conference will be held January 30-February 1, 2013 in Boston, MA.
Call for Session Proposals
We are accepting session proposals now through June 1, 2012. However, the earlier you
submit your suggestion the more likely the track chairs may extend an opportunity for you
to make a presentation.
Submission guidelines: All conference sessions are approximately one hour in length. Table Seminars are 45 minutes in length and are traditionally more informal and interactive than a session. PowerPoint is an often-used supplement, but is not a requirement. Two to three presenters are preferred for each session but exceptions will be made by the track chairs. Consultants may be part of the presentation as long as at least one presenter is on the staff of a CASE District I member institution.
