As part of CASE District I’s ongoing commitment to support diversity in the advancement profession, we provide professional development opportunities for talented juniors, seniors and graduate students who have demonstrated a strong interest and commitment to learning more about career options in the advancement profession.
Open to college juniors, seniors, and graduate students or new advancement professionals, with one to three years of full-time employment at a CASE District I member institution, the 2012 Summer Scholars Program will support the full cost for two (2) qualified individuals to attend one of the following CASE Summer Institutes: Advancement Services held July 22-26, 2012 in Burlington, VT at the University of Vermont; Educational Fund Raising held July 22-26, 2012 at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH; Communications and Marketing taking place in Burlington, VT at the University of Vermont, July 15-July 19, 2012 or Alumni Relations taking place in Burlington, VT at the University of Vermont, July 22-July 26, 2012. The candidate and the host institution sponsor will select the Summer Institute most appropriate for the candidate’s skills and interests.
In 2012, two (2) scholarships will be awarded to qualified individuals. The award consists of:
CASE’s flagship training programs are for newcomers or other professionals who want to hit the books and revisit the basics. For five days this summer, they will review the essentials of the discipline and hear from leaders in the field who will bring a wealth of knowledge to the classroom.
The application deadline for the Summer Scholars Program was April 30, 2012.
